Something I’d Like to Call AMV… -con status to be determined

So tomorrow I will be attending my first anime convention…I think…

Thing is, if this is indeed my first anime convention, it would be in Hong Kong. What difference does that make? Well, first off, let’s discuss the nature of the convention.

Why should I call this AMV, other than the fact that I have no idea what it’s really called, partly cuz it’s in chinese? AMV – Anime, Manga, and Video Games. This combination is just pure w00tness. I have my reservations, however. First, on an initial questioning of the nature of the manga part of the exhibition (because apparently the cousins here are only interested in manga), and evidently, (NFW moment of the day coming up) all that’s gonna happen is that manga is gonna be sold. No cosplay. No mangaka appearances. No manga trivia tournaments. Sorry to say, but that is simply…uneventful.

If the anime exhibition is simply a market as well, then that’s just messed up. I know Hong Kong has the most capitalist economy in the world, but this takes it a bit far. That…that’s not a con! *sobs* This is just a really large Barnes and Noble! Come on HK! Don’t fail me! Give me my jpop! Give me my seiyuu! Give me my overabundant fanservice! Give me my fifty thousand Rei Ayanamis. I WANT MY 50000 BLUE WIGGED SEMI HOT CHIX0RZ IN WHITE PLUG SUITS!

Ahem…Video game exhibition, you better not fail me either. I wanna see DDR tournaments to the utmost! None of this screwed up DDR-wannabe “drumming” and “guitaring” and “keyboarding” you guys call entertainment. Boom Boom Dollar FTW!
