First I will concede that Ouran High School Host Club, the anime that too many of my female (and male for that matter) friends have been preaching to me that I’ve been intentionally avoiding because of its gay twincest screenshots that scared me (I refuse to post examples), actually is turning out to be quite decent. Tamaki is quickly turning out to be one of the most well-developed characters I’ve seen, with his pompous and arrogant facade casting a thin mask over his vulnerable interior. Haruhi Fujioka is no Haruhi Suzumiya, but she’s quite a nice break from the typical female leads, with her androgynous tendencies hiding her cute (relatively, compared to the rest of the art in this series) exterior.
